For a competition, but mostly as an excuse to draw random lions. I always find it amusing how fearless and mean those tiny little cubs are towards their enormous fathers, who snarl and growl and threaten to bite them all the time.

Mightyena.
After considering several possibilities I decided Mightyena is definitely based on the brown hyena.
